Why Is It Called Cheval Mirror?

The smaller lavatory mirrors that were initially manufactured in Paris during the 19th century served as the inspiration for the bigger design of antique Cheval mirrors. This was because bigger slabs of glass were being created at this point, which led to larger mirrors being produced. Cheval is the French word for horse, and the name given to the mirror alludes to the fact that it has four legs that support it.
