Check to see whether the Fitbit app automatically refreshes or runs in the background. If you are using an Android device, you can remove the cache for the Fitbit app by going to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Storage & cache > Clear cache. After closing the Fitbit app or forcing it to stop, reopening it is the next step. Both your mobile device (phone, tablet, or computer) and your Fitbit need to be restarted.
