In the United States, newlyweds of Asian and Hispanic descent are by far the most likely to marry within their own ethnic group. In 2015, around thirty percent of newlyweds of Asian descent (29 percent), and twenty-seven percent of newlyweds of Hispanic descent, reported having done so. Intermarriage is considerably more commonplace among these demographic groups in the United States.
