Where Do Stonechats Nest?

Stonechats get an early start on the mating season, laying their eggs in late March on average in lowland areas but not until later in the spring at higher elevations. They build their nests anywhere from the ground up to around one metre, often at arm's length deep into gorse or other thick bushes.
