The Greenfinch, sometimes known as the Green Linnet, is a robust and stocky species of finch that has a tail that is clearly forked. The mature female has upperparts that are gray-brown and somewhat streaky, while the underparts have a hint of yellow and there is less yellow on the wings and tail than there is on the male. Both sexes have light brown colouring on their bills and legs.
