For returns made without a receipt, the firm will now provide refunds in the same manner as the initial purchase, which may be cash or credit, or in the form of a Nordstrom gift card. This change took effect in June. At this time, Nordstrom will not provide a cash refund unless the consumer has both the receipt from their purchase as well as a valid form of identification in their possession.
