Are Western Kingbirds Rare?

Between the months of May and August, Western Kingbirds may be seen often in the wide lowlands of eastern Washington, particularly in agricultural areas. Breeding has been verified in the counties of Pierce, Skagit, and Whatcom in western Washington, making them uncommon breeders in those areas.
