Is Keeping Beard A Sin?

The vast majority of scholars, with the exception of a select minority, came to the conclusion that maintaining a beard is necessary for Muslims since the Prophet commanded them to do so. Some scholars argue that wearing a beard is a Sunnah, however the majority of others think that growing a beard is Fardh and shaving it is Haraam. The commandment to grow a beard is quite clear for Muslims, and some scholars say that it is a Sunnah.
