Is IRS Sending Out 2021 Letters?

EIP recipients should expect to start receiving Letter 6475, Your Third Economic Impact Payment, from the Internal Revenue Service in the latter half of January. Economic Impact Payment recipients will be able to use this letter to assess whether or not they are eligible for the recovery rebate credit and whether or not they should claim it on their tax returns for 2021 when they submit those returns in 2022.
