How Did Schools Ban Yik Yak?

In the fall of 2014, Norwich University, a small military college in Vermont, banned the use of Yik Yak on the grounds that students were "feeling awkward, they are feeling hurt, and they are feeling threatened," despite the fact that the university acknowledged that there had been no reports of illegal activity and that there were no pending investigations.
