Do Visual Novels Count As Books?

Text, artwork, music, voice acting, and, very often, efforts to make characters behave and express individuality through varied sprites are the standard components of a visual novel. Therefore, it is not just a book. It is a cross between a book and a game and an animated movie, in which the conclusion of the movie is up to the player's discretion.
