Do Stonechats Hover?

The sound of their cry is similar to that of two stones being tapped together, which is where the name "stonechat" comes from. On the winter, there have been several sightings of these birds in the area that is being restored as part of the Great Fen. It is possible to see birds flying in a hummingbird-like pattern above the reeds and tiny bushes that grow in the ditches of the fen.
