The most frequent grounds for banning an account were spam and exploitative material. Exploitative content includes nonconsensual pornography (sometimes known as "revenge porn") and sexual content connected to children. Spam was also a prominent cause. Every picture and video that is published to the Discord service is analysed using PhotoDNA, which compares the content to databases of documented instances of child sexual assault.
