Can Military Call Home?

Some troops are now granted permission to make a weekly call home. Cellphones are often observed being used during Advanced Individual Training sessions. Despite the fact that they are restricted over the course of the duty day, troops make phone calls, send texts, and check Facebook as soon as it is permitted—and sometimes even when it isn't.
