Are Mods Bannable FFXIV?

The Terms of Service prohibit the use of any modifications in Final Fantasy XIV, and doing so may result in a ban. On the other hand, client-side modifications, such as those that alter the user interface or the graphics, are not detected by Square Enix. Therefore, a player might be permanently kicked out of the game for using modifications, but there is no method to catch them in the act.
